We are the longest heritage railway in Essex, the closest to London and have been awarded "Heritage Railway of the Year"!
Our vintage buses start from the front door of Epping station, whisking you back in time to our period stations with steam and diesel hauled heritage trains.
All three heritage transport experiences are included in one great value ticket!
Step back in time with us and experience the romance of travel in bygone times while passing through picturesque countryside, beautiful forest and historic towns. We have our timetables and fares, things to see and do from our stations, latest news and developments at the railway, details of driver experience and filming opportunities.
You can have a peek behind the scenes at the restoration work that our team of friendly volunteers undertake on infrastructure such as buildings, track, signals and also our rolling stock as we offer a great day out for all the family.
We are continuing the work towards our long term aim of once again running passenger trains to connect at Epping for the benefit of visitors, the local communities and economy.
