Sponsorship

Ever thought how you could make a lasting contribution to the railway?

There are always many projects to fund on a heritage railway like ours. From restoring rolling stock to replacing the track, each task is a challenge, and many, like locomotive overhauls, require vast amounts of funding to complete.

A new feature to our main Gala events is our event Guide, which provides visitors with information about the event, including timetables, locomotive biographies and highlights from previous events.

We're looking for advertisers who would love to support these publications by purchasing advertising space within them, or sponsoring (in full or part) the printing costs. By aiding us, we can increase the availability & circulation of these, which will benefit the Railway, its local community, and the advertisers within.

Advertising can be purchased from as little as £30 (+VAT) for a quarter
page, and major sponsors can benefit from perks such as complimentary travel tickets too!

For enquiries regarding advertising in these, please contact Owen Hayward through media@eorailway.co.uk.

Alternatively, you may want to support the restoration of one of our heritage items of rolling stock? We have a selection of both freight and passenger items, all requiring maintenance or restoration by our dedicated volunteers. These vehicles often require many hours of work and numerous replacement parts to return to their former glory, and each has played a key role in the history of railways and the transportation of passengers and goods.

Steam engines are also required to undergo a costly overhaul every 10 years, which ensures they are fit enough to continue hauling trains, as well as providing an opportunity to renew worn or life-expired parts. Diesel engines, on the other hand, have many complex components, equally as expensive and many unique. Your support helps to keep as many of these in service as possible.

If you can, please dig deep. Send your donations (cheques make payable to EORVS) to the EORVS Treasurer (Epping Ongar Railway, Ongar Station, Station Approach, Ongar, Essex CM5 9BN.)

Alternatively, donation boxes are situated at both Ongar and North Weald Stations, where visitors can place smaller donations towards our various projects.

If you would like to sponsor one of our major projects - such as building or rolling stock restorations - or if you have any other ideas for sponsorship, please email: enquiries@eorailway.co.uk.
