Railway Maintenance Closure The Epping Ongar Railway will unfortunately not open to the public for Easter. Ongoing work on the maintenance of the track means that we cannot confirm a date for reopening. Safety of the track is very important and we apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
2009 Events Dates and events to be confirmed Don't forget there'll be lots more fun to be had at Epping Ongar Railway next year. Planned events include: Easter Bunny special, Teddy Bears picnic, Halloween and Santa Specials. May and August Bank Holiday weekends - trains will run on Sunday and Monday. We are also hoping to plan a Beer Festival over one of the Bank Holiday weekends. Musicians, Driver for a Fiver, Steam Loco in operation will feature on many of our event days. This page will be updated with information about these events.
