Saturday 29 - Monday 31 August 2015

This year marks 150 years since the opening of the line between Loughton and Ongar. In April, we celebrated with a gathering of Eastern-region steam engines. This August, we'll be celebrating further with a Victorian Bank Holiday.

The Epping Ongar Railway is welcoming a mixture of 'posh' and 'scruffy' members of the Seven Dial Rapscallions for the bank holiday weekend. They will interact with our travelling public and may cause a spot of mayhem!

The group will be touring around the Railway over the weekend and also be undetaking a special 'opening ceremony' at Ongar Station with the arrival of the 1245 train from North Weald.

Anyone dressed in Victorian costume for the day (as judged by our bookng office staff) will be entitled to travel for free on our trains!
