Service UPDATE - Due to Isabel being unwell, EOR apologies that it she will be unable to run her this weekend. The Ongar service is being run using Class 37 (D6729) and 03170. The Coopersale Shuttle is being operated by Class 31 (31438) and 03119. EOR apologies for any inconvenience caused.
It is still hoped that Victory will be in steam on Sunday 24th to celebrate the carnival.
Epping Ongar Railway offers an ideal way for residents of Epping, North Weald and further afield to travel to Ongar to join in the Carnival party atmosphere!
The Class 37 (D6729) and Class 03 (03170) will be operating 3CIG (which will have an additional coach to be a 4CIG!) on the Ongar to North Weald trains, and Class 31 (31438) and Class 03 (03119) on the Coopersale shuttle.
This is the first time that 03119 has operated passenger trains on Epping Ongar Railway!
When you get to Ongar, don’t forget to catch the Ongar Carnival on the SUNDAY, and to celebrate the Carnival EOR has a special surprise guest in the parade! Steam engine “Victory” will be on-hand and in steam in the station to welcome and cheer the carnival as it goes past!
